How quickly we respond
- We aim to acknowledge every error report within 2 working days.
- Once we confirm a factual error, we aim to correct the article within 1 working day.
- If we check and the article is accurate, we will tell you why.
How corrections appear in articles
A corrected article carries a dated note at the top, above the main image, saying what was wrong and what it now says. The article also shows an “Updated” date. We do not quietly change facts, delete articles to hide mistakes or change the original publication date.
Correction, [date]: An earlier version of this article gave the wrong [figure / name / date]. It has been corrected to [correct detail].
Small fixes that do not change the meaning, such as typos or formatting, are made without a note. Our wider standards are in the editorial policy.
